Area COVID Deaths Hold Steady; Few New Infections

For the second day in a row, no new COVID 19-related deaths are reported in the Evansville area. 

The Indiana Department of Health delivered encouraging numbers again, adding no new fatalities in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Pike, Dubois, or Spencer counties.

Vanderburgh County recorded eleven new infections, while the other counties saw single-digit increases.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate held at 3.5 percent.

The number of COVID patients in the hospital dropped by 13 to 29 in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana.

Across Indiana, 22 new COVID-related deaths were added with fewer than 600 new infections.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department recorded no new deaths and 18 new cases.

Just ten COVID patients were hospitalized in the seven-county district.
