A new coronavirus-related death is reported in Vanderburgh County.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported the county’s 8th COVID-19 fatality on its Tuesday dashboard.
Vanderburgh County’s number of confirmed cases rose 42 to an even 1,500 out of more than 24,000 tested.
Statewide, the agency reported 16 new deaths and more than 800 new cases.
No new coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
The Green River District Health Department reported 34 new infections in its seven-county region, but no new deaths.
