700 More Vanderburgh Residents Vaccinated; 2 COVID Deaths Added in Western Kentucky

700 more Vanderburgh County residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. 

The Indiana Department of Health tallied 723 more vaccinated local residents on its Monday dashboard.

No new COVID-related deaths were added in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Pike, Dubois, or Spencer counties.

Just four new infections were counted in Vanderburgh County, but the seven-day positivity rate for individuals rose to 8.5 percent.

Across southern Indiana, the number of hospitalized COVID patients increased by nine to 42.

Statewide, just one new COVID-related death was added with about 800 new infections.

Indiana’s seven-day positivity rate for individuals was 12.8 percent.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department reported another 36 COVID infections and ten patients in the hospital.

The seven-county district added two COVID-related deaths that were reported from a state audit of death certificates
