COVID 19-related deaths and infections continue to rise in western Kentucky.
The Green River District Health Department announced six more COVID-related deaths: three in Daviess County, one in Henderson County, one in Webster County, and one in Ohio County.
The pandemic death toll in Daviess County has reached 288 and Henderson County’s has climbed to 127.
The department also tallied 518 new infections in the seven-county district between Friday and Monday.
All seven of the counties were listed as areas of high transmission on the Tuesday report.
The agency urges unvaccinated Kentucky residents to visit vaccine.ky.gov and get a shot.
Eligible residents who are vaccinated are urged to get a booster shot.
