465 More Local Residents Fully Vaccinated

Hundreds more Vanderburgh County residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. 

The Indiana Department of Health reported 465 more full vaccinations in the county, pushing the local total beyond 55,600.

The agency also reported no new COVID-related deaths in Vanderburgh or its adjacent counties. Each county recorded single-digit increases in new infections.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate fell slightly to 4.5 percent.

Across southwest Indiana, the number of hospitalized patients rose by four to 35 in the 12-county region.

Statewide, 14 new fatalities were reported on the Wednesday dashboard with more than 1,100 new infections.

Indiana’s seven-day positivity rate held at 5.1 percent.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department tallied 30 new infections but no new COVID-related deaths.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the seven-county district rose to ten.
