40 New COVID Cases Recorded in Vanderburgh County

The number of COVID-19 infections in Vanderburgh County has surpassed 2,100. 

The Indiana State Department of Health announced 40 more positive cases in the county, raising the total to 2,122.

The number of COVID-related deaths in Vanderburgh County held at 15, and the seven-day positivity rate was steady at 10 percent.

No new COVID fatalities were reported in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.

Statewide, the agency reported eight new COVID-related deaths, more than 1,000 new cases, and a seven-day positivity rate of 7.6 percent.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department reported 32 new cases – 14 of them in Daviess County and ten in Henderson County.

No new COVID-related deaths were recorded in the seven-county district. Thirteen residents were in hospitals.
