38 New COVID Cases in Vanderburgh; More than 1,000 Statewide

38 new cases of COVID-19 are reported in Vanderburgh County, with more than 1,000 across the state. 

The Indiana State Department of Health pushed the county’s total of infections to 2,290 in its Friday report.

Vanderburgh County’s death toll held at 17, while the seven-day positivity rate was steady at 8.5 percent.

No new COVID-related deaths were reported in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.

Statewide, the agency reported 1,050 new cases, 13 new deaths, and a seven-day positivity rate of 7.5 percent.

Indiana’s confirmed death toll is approaching 3,000 along with 216 “probable” COVID-related deaths.

The Green River District Health Department reported 29 new infections in its seven-county area, 16 of them in Daviess County.

The district reported no new deaths in its Friday report.
