200+ New COVID Vaccinations in Vanderburgh; No New Deaths in Area

No new COVID 19-related deaths are reported in southwest Indiana or western Kentucky. 

The Indiana Department of Health added no new fatalities in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Pike, Dubois, or Spencer counties.

Vanderburgh did see eleven new infections, while Gibson County added 14.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals improved to 6.2 percent but the number of hospitalized COVID patients across southwest Indiana increased by seven to 42.

Vanderburgh County recorded 218 more people fully vaccinated against the virus.

Statewide, a dozen new COVID-related deaths were added with more than 800 new cases on the Wednesday dashboard.

Indiana’s seven-day positivity rate for individuals improved to 10.4 percent – down a half-percent.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department recorded no new fatalities but 37 new infections.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the seven-county district rose by two to 19.
