Two more COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded in Vanderburgh County.
The Indiana Department of Health says the county’s pandemic death toll rose to 444, with 83 new infections on the Tuesday dashboard.
It was the second straight day that Vanderburgh avoided a triple-digit increase in cases.
The county’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals fell to about 23 percent, with 241 more residents becoming fully vaccinated.
No new COVID-related deaths were added in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties but the state agency reported a virus-related fatality in Pike County.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients across the 12-county district of southwest Indiana continued to fall slowly to 231.
Statewide, Indiana recorded 81 more fatalities and more than 2,600 new infections.
