2 More COVID Deaths in SW Indiana; Infections, Hospitalizations Up

Two more COVID 19-related deaths are reported in southwest Indiana, with nearly 100 new infections in Vanderburgh County. 

The Indiana Department of Health announced one new fatality in Warrick County and one in Spencer County on the Tuesday dashboard.

The agency also tallied 96 new infections in Vanderburgh and 56 in Warrick.

Vanderburgh saw more than 100 new full vaccinations with 470 more booster shots.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients across the 12-county region of southwest Indiana rose to 133. That number was as low as 53 in early November.

The statewide COVID death toll rose by 117, with more than 4,000 new infections.

More than 2,200 COVID patients were reported hospitalized across Indiana.
