2 More COVID Deaths, 176 New Infections in Vanderburgh County

Two more COVID 19-related deaths are reported in Vanderburgh County. 

The Indiana Department of Health pushed the county’s pandemic death toll to 209. The agency also reported another 176 infections and a seven-day positivity rate of more than 18 percent in Vanderburgh County.

No new COVID-related deaths were reported in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties, but the death toll rose by one in Dubois County to 70.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana fell 5 to 226, while the percentage of available intensive care beds slipped below 20 percent.

Across Indiana, 88 more COVID-related deaths were counted with nearly 3,200 new infections.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department announced two new fatalities, one in Daviess (Davis) County and the other in Ohio County.

247 new infections and 48 hospitalized COVID patients were reported across the seven-county district.
