The Indiana State Department of Health reported three new COVID-related deaths in Vanderburgh County, three in Posey County, three in Gibson County, one in Spencer County, and one in Dubois County.
Vanderburgh’s death toll rose to 115 since March.
The county also saw another triple-digit increase in infections, 128, with a seven-day positivity rate of 7.3 percent.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients in southwest Indiana rose to 289, with the percentage of available intensive care beds dipping below 16 percent in the 12-county district.
Statewide, the number of COVID-related deaths jumped by 103 with 5,700 new infections reported on the Tuesday dashboard.
In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department announced five new fatalities, three of them in Daviess County, one in Webster County, and another in McLean County.
The department also recorded 129 new infections and 57 hospitalizations in the seven-county district.
