As the investigation continues into what caused Tuesday’s explosion at 1717 Hercules Avenue, one of the victim's conditions has improved.

Previously listed in critical condition, Tara McKnight was taken to Eskanazi Hospital in Indianapolis. Today the hospital says her condition has improved to good, meaning her vital signs are stable, she is conscious and comfortable, and her outlook is good.

Michael Kneer was life-flighted in critical condition to the University of Louisville Hospital’s Burn Unit last Tuesday. His current status is unknown, but a GoFundMe page said he is expected to be in the ICU anywhere from 45 days to three months.

Jesse Woolems was taken to Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis.  His condition has not been made publicly available.

Firefighters found two bodies at the scene of the explosion Tuesday afternoon. The  Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office identified the bodies as Sharon Mand and Kathleen Woolems.
