An anonymous donor has struck again, delighting the staff at the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center.
The donor known only as “Pete” called the Rehab Center on Bellemeade Avenue just after noon Monday.
A group of staff members followed Pete’s directions and found a gift bag hanging on a fence outside the center. Inside was a holiday decoration shaped like a Christmas tree, with bulbs that lit up as it played holiday music. Tucked in between the bulbs were 30 tightly rolled one-hundred-dollar bills -- a donation of $3,000.
In a release, Easterseals said it was Pete’s 41st generous donation since 1990.
Pete stressed that the donation be used to provide gifts to children with disabilities from disadvantaged families served by Easterseals.
