Two Evansville public school support institutions are merging into one larger organization.
Separately, the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation Foundation and the Public Education Foundation have worked to bolster the success of the school system by supporting programs, staff and EVSC families.
Together, officials say the two entities can continue their missions but with larger resources. The unified organization will keep the EVSC Foundation name.
Benefits of the merger also include streamlined processes like grant applications and communication.
Officials say they will keep donors and educators informed of any operational changes.
