No New COVID Deaths But 100+ New Infections in SW Indiana

No new COVID-19 related deaths are reported in southwest Indiana. 

The Indiana Department of Health added no new fatalities in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Pike, Dubois, or Spencer counties.

The agency did report another 59 infections in Vanderburgh, 31 more in Dubois, and 24 new cases in Warrick on the Thursday dashboard.

Vanderburgh County’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals rose above 17 percent, while another 70 residents became fully vaccinated and nearly 400 more got booster shots.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana rose slightly to 61.

Across Indiana, 18 more COVID-related deaths were counted while infections rose by more than 2,900.
