The Tri-State returns to Standard Time this weekend.

We “fall back” early Sunday morning.

Clocks that don’t automatically re-set themselves should be turned BACK one hour before you go to sleep Saturday night.

Public safety officials say the time change is a good reminder to change batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

This the latest date for the time change, which occurs the first Sunday after Halloween. This year, Halloween fell on a Sunday.

We will lose this weekend’s extra hour when we return to Daylight Saving Time in March.
