One new COVID-19 related death has been recorded in Vanderburgh County.
The Indiana Department of Health added the county’s 488th COVID-related death of the pandemic.
The agency also reported 66 new infections in the county, which outnumbered new vaccinations at 61.
Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals rose to about 15.5 percent, while more than 300 local residents got a booster shot.
Perhaps the most encouraging number on the Friday report was the number of hospitalized COVID patients across southwest Indiana. It fell to 57.
Statewide, Indiana recorded 37 more COVID-related deaths and more than 2,300 new infections.
