One new COVID-19 related death is reported in Vanderburgh County, while nine more have been added in western Kentucky.
The Indiana Department of Health announced Vanderburgh’s 487th death of the pandemic and 27 new infections on the Tuesday dashboard.
It was the only new fatality recorded in southwest Indiana.
Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals rose to just above 16 percent, 42 more residents became fully vaccinated, and more than 200 received booster shots.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients fell to 79 across the 12-county region of southwest Indiana.
Statewide, 47 more virus-related deaths were added along with more than 1,400 new infections.
More grim numbers from the Green River District Health Department: The agency added three more COVID-related fatalities in Henderson County, three in Daviess County, and one each in Union, Hancock, and Ohio counties.
185 new infections were also tallied in the seven-county district from Friday to Monday.
