A new COVID-19 related death has been tallied in Vanderburgh County, with three new fatalities added in western Kentucky.
The Indiana Department of Health announced the 484th virus-related death in Vanderburgh along with 52 new infections on the Friday dashboard.
No new fatalities were added in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals rose a bit to nearly 18 percent.
Almost 100 local residents joined the ranks of fully vaccinated while more than 450 got a booster shot.
Statewide, Indiana recorded 17 new deaths and more than 1,900 new infections.
In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department announced two more deaths in Webster County and another in McLean County between Tuesday and Thursday.
The agency said the number of new infections in the seven-county district was less than 200 during the period, with the seven-day average for new cases in the district down to about 50 a day.
