No New COVID Deaths in SW Indiana; Vanderburgh Vaccinations Top Infections

The latest report on COVID-19 shows no new deaths in southwest Indiana. 

The Indiana Department of Health recorded no new COVID-related fatalities in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Pike, Dubois, or Spencer counties on the Thursday dashboard.

In Vanderburgh County, new full vaccinations outnumbered new infections 83-to-53, more than 150 people got booster shots, and the seven-day positivity rate among individuals fell slightly to about 19 percent.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients across the 12-county region of southwest Indiana rose by 17 to 106.

Statewide, 26 new fatalities were added with more than 2,100 new infections.

Indiana’s positivity rate was just under 17 percent.
