9 More COVID Deaths Tallied in Western Kentucky, None in Southwest Indiana

Nine more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported in western Kentucky, with none added in southwest Indiana. 

The Green River District Health Department announced five more fatalities in Daviess County, raising that county’s pandemic death toll to 254.

Three COVID-related deaths were added in Ohio County and one in Union County between Tuesday and Thursday.

277 new infections were tallied in the seven-county district during the period, dropping the district’s seven-day average to about 91 per day.

The Indiana Department of Health reported no new COVID-related deaths in southwest Indiana. Infection counts were also lower.

Vanderburgh County’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals rose slightly to just over 20 percent.

The county added more than 100 full vaccinations and more than 400 booster shots.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana fell slightly to 149.

Statewide, 19 more COVID-related deaths were added with more than 2,300 new infections.
