cMoe and Arts Council Hosting Children's March, Art Events
The Children’s Museum of Evansville and the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana are hosting an event that gives young artists a chance to express themselves and display their work.
The Children’s Museum and Arts Council are calling for submissions to a new exhibit in downtown Evansville. But, artists must be younger than 21 and their work must reflect the theme “Love Not Hate”.
The exhibit is meant to show interpretations of love, inclusion and diversity – all from the point of view of a child and future community leaders.
Two-D and 3-D art works will be accepted. There is no registration fee and the show is not a contest of any kind. Art will be collected October 30th and November 6th at the Children’s Museum of Evansville. The exhibit will open November 13th at the museum.
The “Love Not Hate Expressions” exhibit is part of a larger event hosted by the museum and arts council called the Children’s March on Evansville. The march is November 7th and according to a release, is meant to amplify the voices of children in social justice issues.
More details about the march will be posted soon to artswin.org/childrensmarchonevansville. There you can also find details about the “Love Not Hate” art exhibit.
