One Tri-State couple will remember this year’s West Side Nut Club Fall Festival for a special reason.
The West Side Nut Club Fall Festival is one of the nation’s largest street festivals. It’s known for booths selling brain sandwiches and deep fried any and everything. But Tuesday night on the midway Ferris wheel, it became known for romance.
Seven years ago, Nate Allen asked Jayden Ketchum on a first date to the Fall Festival. Tuesday night, atop the ferris wheel, Allen had a different question to ask Ketchum. “Will you marry me?” And she said yes.
The most many can hope for walking away from the Fall Festival is a winning ticket to the famous “half pot” drawing, but it seems Allen and Ketchum are walking away winning a lifetime of happiness.
