Six More COVID Deaths Recorded in Vanderburgh County

Vanderburgh County’s COVID-19 death toll has climbed by a half-dozen. 

The Indiana Department of Health announced six more fatalities in the county, along with 92 new infections on the Wednesday dashboard.

Vanderburgh’s death toll reached 458, while 163 more residents became fully vaccinated.

The county’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals held steady at just below 20 percent.

Surrounding counties recorded no new deaths.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana rose to 210 with about a quarter of intensive care beds available.

Across Indiana, the agency recorded 65 more COVID-related deaths and nearly 2,900 new infections.
