14 more COVID-19 related deaths and more than 500 new infections have been tallied in western Kentucky.
The Green River District Health Department recorded five more fatalities in Daviess County, four in Henderson County, two in Webster County, one in Union County, one in McLean County, and one in Ohio County.
The agency also counted 533 new infections between Friday and Monday. The seven-day average was about 132.
All seven counties in the district remained “areas of high transmission.”
In a release, the district’s public health director Clay Horton again urged residents to get vaccinated and wear a mask in public.
Governor Andy Beshear has asked eligible Kentuckians who are already vaccinated to get a booster shot.
He also asked the vaccinated to reach out to loved ones who are not and urge them to get the shots.
