Two more COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded in Vanderburgh County.
The Indiana Department of Health raised the county’s pandemic death toll to 453.
The agency also announced Dubois County’s 125th death on the Tuesday dashboard.
In more encouraging numbers, Vanderburgh’s count of new infections rose by just 64, 186 more local residents were fully vaccinated, and the seven-day positivity rate among individuals slipped below 20 percent.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients dipped below 200 across the 12-county region of southwest Indiana. The percentage of available intensive care beds rose to 30 percent.
Statewide, the numbers were grim. Indiana’s COVID death toll climbed by 89, with more than 2,300 new infections.
