Two more COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded in southwest Indiana, while vaccinations surged in Vanderburgh County.
The Indiana Department of Health added fatalities in Warrick and Pike counties on the Monday dashboard.
Warrick’s pandemic death toll rose to 178 and Pike’s reached 40.
Vanderburgh County avoided a triple-digit increase in infections with 90, while full vaccinations rose by 380 to top 91,000.
The county’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals fell slightly to about 21.5 percent.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients across the 12-county region of southwest Indiana rose a bit to 218, with about 20 percent of intensive care beds available.
Statewide, 30 new COVID-related deaths were recorded along with more than 3,200 new infections.
