University of Southern Indiana officials released details about enrollment at the school, which show the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Overall enrollment in all programs at USI dipped just below ten thousand students, according to numbers released Monday by the university.

Joint graduate and undergraduate enrollment is down six point seven percent over the Fall of 2020. Undergraduate enrollment is just over six thousand students.

There are a couple of bright spots in the enrollment picture at USI. New, first-time freshman students numbers were up over three percent, and the students are entering with a record high school average cumulative GPA.

Graduate enrollment rose four and a half percent over 2020, with the vast majority of them taking programs that are only offered online.
