Tropicana Evansville’s name change is underway.
The casino complex on Riverside Drive has begun marketing itself as Bally’s Evansville.
Bally’s completed its acquisition of Tropicana Evansville in June for $140 million.
The company also obtained rights to the Bally's name.
Bally's owns 13 casinos in nine states, a horse track, and 13 off-track betting licenses in Colorado.
Evansville’s land-based casino opened in 2017, after state law allowed riverboat casinos to move inland.
The local gaming operation began aboard the City of Evansville boat in 1995 and became a reliable revenue source for city and county government.
