Another 525 Vanderburgh County residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Indiana Department of Health recorded the vaccinations in the county on the Tuesday dashboard, pushing the local total beyond 87,000.

It was the first new data reported since Friday due to Labor Day.

The agency also added 91 new COVID infections in Vanderburgh, 55 in Warrick, 18 in Gibson, and six more in Posey County.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals slipped below 25 percent.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana fell to 279, but the state said technical difficulties prevented the counting of hospital data from September 3rd through the 5th.

The agency reported no new COVID-related deaths, but more than 2,800 new infections across the state.
