The City of Evansville is offering a new way to schedule a heavy trash pickup.
The Water and Sewer Utility says residents can now request the service online at ewsu.com.
In a release, the utility says just click the Schedule Heavy Pickup button and complete a pickup request form and click "submit."
Officials say a Republic Services Customer Representative will contact you in one to two business days to confirm a pickup date.
Customers still have the option to call the Republic Services Customer Resource Center at 800-886-3345.
Customers can schedule pickups as often as every two weeks.
Only one heavy item is allowed at a time, except for items that are usually a pair, like a mattress and a box spring or a table and chairs.
Heavy trash service is available to Evansville residents who pay for trash service with their water bill.
That excludes apartment complexes, mobile home communities, business and commercial customers, and county residents.
