The remnants of Hurricane Ida could dump heavy rain on the Tri-State.
As the storm moves north, forecasters say it will bring showers and thunderstorms to western Kentucky and southwest Indiana.
The storm’s projected patch takes it through Tennessee on Tuesday, creating a good chance of heavy rain in western Kentucky, where some counties are under a Flash Flood Watch.
Forecasters say the immediate Evansville area could also see some heavy rain. Southeast Illinois is forecast to receive lesser amounts.
What’s left of the storm will usher in cooler weather.
The National Weather Service predicts mostly sunny and less humid conditions Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with high temperatures in the low-to-mid 80s.
