Five more COVID 19-related deaths and more than 500 new infections are reported in western Kentucky.
The Green River District Health Department recorded four new COVID-related deaths in Daviess County and one more in Henderson County between Friday and Monday.
The agency also counted 547 new COVID infections during the period.
In a release, the department said all seven counties it serves are high transmission areas, with 47 COVID patients in the hospital.
Meantime, the Indiana Department of Health added 113 new infections in Vanderburgh County, pushing the local pandemic total beyond 25,000.
158 more local residents joined the ranks of fully vaccinated on the Tuesday dashboard.
No new COVID-related deaths were recorded in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Pike, Dubois, or Spencer counties.
Hospitalizations in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana dropped below 200.
Across Indiana, 27 more COVID-related deaths were added along with more than 2,700 new infections as the delta variant continued to surge.
