The number of COVID-19 infections in Vanderburgh County has jumped by more than 200.
In numbers reminiscent of pre-vaccine times, the Indiana Department of Health recorded 203 more infections in the county.
The Wednesday dashboard also showed 75 new cases in Warrick County, 36 in Gibson County, and 14 in Posey County.
No new COVID-related deaths were added in southwest Indiana.
Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals stood at more than 23 percent, as 101 more local residents joined the ranks of fully vaccinated.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients across the 12-county region of southwest Indiana increased by 14 to 153.
Just 22 percent of intensive care beds were considered available.
Across the state, 19 new COVID-related fatalities were recorded along with more than 2,500 new infections, as the delta variant continued its relentless spread.
