COVID Infections Up 69 in Vanderburgh, 34 in Warrick; No New Deaths

More than 100 new COVID-19 infections are reported in Vanderburgh and Warrick counties. 

The Indiana Department of Health added 69 infections in Vanderburgh and 34 more in Warrick on the Monday dashboard.

The agency also added eleven in Gibson County and six in Posey County.

Just 84 more Vanderburgh County residents became fully vaccinated, while more than 200 received their first shot of a two-shot vaccine.

The number of fully vaccinated local residents has topped 82,000.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana stood at 97. That number topped 100 last week for the first time since February.

No new COVID-related deaths were recorded across Indiana on Monday, while new infections topped 1,200.

More than 1,100 Hoosiers were in the hospital with the virus, which has spread recently due to the highly contagious delta variant.
