100 New COVID Infections Counted in Western KY; 15 More in Vanderburgh

100 new COVID-19 infections have been reported in western Kentucky. 

The Green River District Health Department tallied the new infections in three days – July 13th to the 15th.

The agency reported four hospitalized COVID patients in the seven-county district.

The district’s pandemic death toll held at 412.

The Indiana Department of Health counted 15 new infections in Vanderburgh County and eleven in Gibson County.

No new COVID-related deaths were added in the Evansville area.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals continued to fall, down to 8.5 percent.

For a second straight day, fewer than 100 new full vaccinations were tallied – 86.

Across the 12-county district of southwest Indiana, the number of hospitalized COVID patients fell slightly to 35.

Statewide, the agency added just one new COVID fatality but about 560 new infections.

The virus’ delta variant continued to drive up infections.
