21 year old Dylan Birdwell is being sought by the EPD as the alleged driver of the vehicle that killed 39 year old Patrick Adams.

Evansville police are looking for the suspect in a fatal hit and run incident on Evansville’s North Side early Saturday.

In a release, police say that 21 year old Dylan Birdwell of Evansville allegedly ran over 39 year old Patrick Adams with an SUV following a fight about three a.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Florence Street. Adams later died of his injuries.

Police say when Birdwell is arrested, he will be charged with voluntary manslaughter and Hit and Run causing death. If you have any information, you’re asked to call Evansville police.

Earlier: According to a release, it happened about 3:20 am Saturday. Evansville police were called to a fight and a hit and run accident. Several people, including the victim and the hit and run suspect, were involved in a fight in the 1300 block of Florence Street, which is about two blocks from Cedar Hall Community School.

When officers arrived, they found the victim, who had multiple injuries. Their preliminary investigation determined that he was standing in the street when a small, white SUV ran him over. Thirty nine year old Patrick Levell Adams was taken to a local hospital, but later died of his injuries.

Information was provided to officers, but they were not able to locate the suspect or the vehicle involved in the hit and run. The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information, you’re asked to call the Evansville Police Adult Investigations Unit at 812.436.7979.
