With good weather forecast, a large crowd is expected.

After a pandemic forced year without one of Evansville’s biggest outdoor celebrations, perfect weather and an appearance by a world class drum and bugle corps should mean a big crowd Sunday evening.

WNIN employees Nolan Barnett (on scaffold) and Jason Yaser prepare for Sunday's live fireworks broadcast on WNIN Public Television.

Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District President Josh Armstrong says they’re working with a new fireworks show producer who has created an extended performance for the public. The Fourth of July fireworks generally has one of the most diverse audiences in Evansville.

Armstrong said, “When you’re down here, you’re going to see a mix of all types of people. It’s just really cool to see everyone celebrating our country, celebrating our community.”

The Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps will perform at 7:30 on Riverside Drive. The fireworks will start around 9:15 central time. This year, WNIN Public Television will broadcast the Evansville fireworks on channel 9 and on our live stream.
