Vanderburgh COVID Vaccinations Top 80,000; Infections Up

COVID-19 vaccinations in Vanderburgh County have topped 80,000. 

The Indiana Department of Health recorded 155 new full vaccinations on its Wednesday dashboard, raising the county’s total to 80,095

Vanderburgh County’s population as of April 2019 was about 181,000.

The state agency also tallied an increase of 21 COVID infections in the county. Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate was 4.5 percent.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana rose by one to 17.

Across the state, six new coronavirus-related deaths were reported along with nearly 300 new infections.

More than 400 COVID patients were in the hospital.
