Vanderburgh COVID Death Toll Reaches 401; Vaccinations Nearing 80,000

A new COVID-19 related death is reported in Vanderburgh County.

The Indiana Department of Health announced the county’s 401^st death of the pandemic on its Tuesday dashboard.

It was one of eight new fatalities recorded across the state.

Eight new infections were tallied in Vanderburgh County for a second straight day.

The county’s number of fully vaccinated residents is approaching 80,000, with 131 added on Tuesday.

16 COVID patients were reported hospitalized in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department added 34 new infections but no new deaths between June 25^th and 28^th.

Just one COVID patients was reported hospitalized in the seven-county district.
