New COVID Death in Daviess; 200+ More Vaccinations in Vanderburgh

A new COVID 19-related death has been recorded in western Kentucky. 

The Green River District Health Department announced the 184th death of the pandemic in Daviess County, where 38 percent of residents were fully vaccinated.

The agency also reported 47 new infections and ten COVID patients hospitalized in the seven-county district.

The Indiana Department of Health added no new COVID-related deaths in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Pike, Dubois, or Spencer counties.

Eight new infections were tallied in Gibson County and six in Vanderburgh.

210 more Vanderburgh County residents were listed as fully vaccinated on the Wednesday dashboard, with the total approaching 73,500.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients across the 12-county district of southwest Indiana fell to 28.

Statewide, Indiana recorded six new fatalities and more than 650 new cases.
