COVID Death Added in Henderson; 250 More Vaccinated in Vanderburgh

A new COVID-19 death is reported in Henderson County. 

The Green River District Health Department announced Henderson’s 79th COVID-related death of the pandemic in its Tuesday report.

The seven-county district also saw 34 new COVID infections, with the number of hospitalized COVID patients up to 17.

No new COVID-related deaths were reported in southwest Indiana.

The state’s department of health added nine new infections in Vanderburgh County, along with 254 more fully-vaccinated residents.

The county’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals improved to 6.3 percent.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana rose by one to 35.

Across Indiana, 21 new COVID-related deaths were added with nearly 500 new infections.

The state’s seven-day positivity rate dipped to 10.9 percent.
