You have an opportunity to learn more about a planned pedestrian bridge near Bosse High School.
The Indiana Department of Transportation is holding an open house from 4:00 to 6:00 Wednesday afternoon inside the Bosse cafeteria.
Residents can view displays and comment on the planned overpass at U.S. 41 and Washington Avenue.
In a release, INDOT says the new overpass will tie into the High-Rail Pedestrian Trail that runs along the west side of 41.
The current grade-level crossing at the 41 and Washington has been a source of safety concerns for decades.
INDOT says both state and federal funds are available for the project.
The in-person open house includes social distancing measures.
Information from the open house will also be available online.
