No New COVID Deaths in Area; Vanderburgh Vaccinations Approach 69,000

No new COVID 19-related deaths are reported in the Evansville area. 

The Indiana Department of Health added just three new infections in Vanderburgh County with even fewer new cases in each of the surrounding counties.

Vanderburgh’s death toll held at 397 with fewer than 200 residents newly vaccinated on the Monday dashboard, leaving the county just shy of 69,000 full vaccinations.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate among individuals held at 6.7 percent.

Across southern Indiana, the number of hospitalized COVID patients rose by three to 43 in the 12-county region.

Statewide, just one new COVID fatality was recorded on the Monday dashboard, with about 600 new infections.

Indiana’s confirmed death toll surpassed 13,000 over the weekend.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department added a dozen infections with seven COVID patients hospitalized in the seven-county district.
