New COVID 19-related deaths were reported in Gibson County and Henderson County, while new infections jumped in Vanderburgh County on the Wednesday dashboard.
The Indiana Department of Health announced Gibson’s 89th death of the pandemic.
The agency also reported 30 new infections, but no new fatalities, in Vanderburgh County. Total infections in the county topped 22,000.
Warrick, Gibson, and Posey counties saw single-digit increases in their infections.
Vanderburgh County added more than 500 fully vaccinated residents.
Across southern Indiana, the number of hospitalized COVID patients increased by three to 37.
Statewide, Indiana recorded 20 new COVID-related deaths and more than 1,200 new infections.
In western Kentucky, the Green River Health Department reported Henderson County’s 75th death of the pandemic.
The agency added 35 new infections in the seven-county district, while six COVID patients were in the hospital.
