A new COVID-19 related death is reported in Dubois County while another is added in western Kentucky.
The Indiana Department of Health announced the 113th death of the pandemic in Dubois County, while other southwest Indiana counties saw no new fatalities on the Friday dashboard.
The agency did record 22 new COVID infections in Vanderburgh County, where the death toll held at 393 and the seven-day positivity rate stood at 4.6 percent.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients dropped to 47 in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana.
Statewide, 16 more COVID-related deaths were reported, with fewer than 1,400 new infections.
Indiana’s seven-day positivity rate ticked up to 4.7 percent.
The Green River District Health Department recorded an additional fatality that was found during an audit of death certificates in Kentucky.
The district tallied 21 new COVID infections while the number of hospitalized patients rose to eight in the seven-county district.
