Four New COVID Deaths Added in Area; 30 New Infections in Vanderburgh

Four new COVID-19 related deaths are reported in southwest Indiana and western Kentucky. 

The Indiana Department of Health announced one new fatality in Vanderburgh County and another in Gibson County on the Wednesday dashboard.

Vanderburgh’s pandemic death toll rose to 393.

30 new infections were also added in the county.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate rose to 4.5 percent.

Across southwest Indiana, the number of hospitalized COVID patients rose by 19 to 55 in the 12-county district.

Statewide, the agency counted 15 more COVID-related deaths and more than 1200 new infections.

The state’s seven-day positivity rate matched Vanderburgh’s at 4.5 percent.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department recorded one new fatality in Henderson County and another in Daviess (Davis) County.

27 new infections were added and seven COVID patients were hospitalized in the seven-county district.
