Another COVID-19 related death is reported in Vanderburgh County on the one-year anniversary of the county’s first death of the pandemic.
The Indiana Department of Health announced Vanderburgh’s 392nd fatality on its Tuesday dashboard.
The agency also tallied ten new infections in Vanderburgh County, as the local seven-day positivity rate improved to 4.3 percent.
No new COVID-related deaths were added in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties, with just two new infections in Warrick and none in Posey or Gibson counties.
Another encouraging number: COVID hospitalizations fell by ten to 36 in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana.
Statewide, eleven new COVID-related deaths were announced with about 670 new infections.
In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department recorded 32 new cases but no new fatalities in the seven-county district.
