COVID Death Toll Rises in Dubois; 21 New Infections in Vanderburgh

No new COVID-19 related deaths are reported in the immediate Evansville area, but one has been added in Dubois County. 

The Indiana Department of Health reported Dubois County’s 116th death of the pandemic.

No new fatalities were added in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.

Vanderburgh County saw 21 new infections on the Thursday dashboard, while the county’s seven-day positivity rate held at 4.1 percent.

Across southern Indiana, the number of hospitalized COVID patients fell by 12 to 44.

Statewide, nine new deaths were tallied and the number of infections rose by more than 1,200.

Indiana’s seven-day positivity rate edged up to four percent.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department reported 32 new cases but no new fatalities.

The number of COVID patients hospitalized in the seven-county district rose by one to seven.
